Laminate countertops are sturdy, resilient countertops that can deflect even the toughest stains. Laminate countertops are made from multiple pieces of paper – stained decoratively – that are bathed in plastic resin and fused together at high heat. Normally these surfaces are about ¾”- 1” thick, and the countertop seam – the area where the countertops have been cut to shape the counter – can usually be visible, but only marginally.
